Chameleon film is the most-asked-about product in the studio right now, and the legality question comes up every time. The short version: we fit it on the front windscreen only. We do not fit chameleon anywhere else on the vehicle.
Where we fit chameleon
Chameleon goes exclusively on the front windscreen. It is not a side-window, rear-window or sunstrip service. For general information, see our tint law guide.
What about the rest of the car?
Side and rear windows are separate services using our premium dyed film. Chameleon is only offered for the front windscreen.
Will it fail an MOT?
Requirements can depend on the vehicle and the fitted film. We discuss the windscreen application before fitting rather than making a blanket claim online.
Does the colour attract attention?
It's noticeable — that's the point. The finish changes appearance with the light and viewing angle, so we recommend viewing the available film in person before choosing.
What it costs and what it looks like
Chameleon is £150 fitted. The shade shifts between greens, purples, golds and blues depending on the light and angle — we keep the current stock rolls at the studio so you can see them on real glass in daylight before committing. Photos, shades and booking on the chameleon tint page.
