Last updated: 7 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information Dyno Details collects when you use this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how you can ask us to delete it. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Who we are
Dyno Details, Unit 1, Selinas Lane, Dagenham RM8 1QH. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us by email at info@dynodetails.co.uk or by phone on 07388 072174.
What we collect
Enquiry and booking forms. Your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details and the message you send us.
Number plate orders. Your name, delivery address, contact details, vehicle registration and plate options, plus the documents you upload to prove your identity and your entitlement to the registration (for example a driving licence or utility bill, and the V5C logbook or equivalent).
Chat assistant. The messages you type into our on-site assistant, plus basic anonymous usage events (such as the assistant being opened) so we can see whether it is helpful.
Website usage. Pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived on the site.
We do not ask for card details on this website. Payments and deposits are taken separately.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, quote for work and manage your booking. To make and dispatch your number plates, and to check that you are entitled to the registration before we manufacture them. To keep the records a registered number plate supplier is legally required to keep. To measure how the website and our advertising perform, and to improve both.
We rely on your consent when you submit a form or accept optional cookies, on the performance of our contract with you to carry out the work you have booked, and on our legal obligations for number plate supply records.
How long we keep it
Number plate order records, including the identity and entitlement documents you upload, are kept for three years, as required of registered number plate suppliers under the Vehicle (Crime) Act 2001, and are then deleted.
General enquiries and messages are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up work, and are deleted when they are no longer needed. Analytics data is retained by the providers below under their own retention periods.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@dynodetails.co.uk with your request and we will respond within one month. Please note that we may not be able to delete number plate order records before the three-year legal retention period has passed.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top.
