How long does car window tint last?

How long does car window tint last?
Good film should last for as long as you own the car. Cheap film is what discolours, bubbles and peels. The film we fit is premium dyed film, fitted indoors, and comes with a manufacturer and lifetime warranty against defects.
- — Premium film holds colour; cheap film goes purple
- — Manufacturer and lifetime warranty on our film
- — Fitted indoors at our Dagenham studio
- — Removal is £40 per window if old film needs stripping
Why does some tint fail early?
Cheap film loses colour stability and its adhesive breaks down, which shows as a purple cast, bubbles or peeling edges. Fitting matters too — dust and poor prep cause problems no film can fix.
How do I make it last?
- Keep the windows up for 3 to 5 days after fitting.
- Clean the inside of the glass with a soft cloth and a non-ammonia cleaner.
- Don't scrape the inside of the glass with anything sharp.
Is the film guaranteed?
Yes — manufacturer and lifetime warranty against film defects such as bubbling or discolouration.
What if my current tint has already failed?
It comes off — removal is £40 per window and new film can go on the same visit. See tint removal or the window tinting page.
